I am trying to find Terry Oglesbee.  She has some information regarding MS.  If anyone knows her info please let her know I'm looking.  Our middle daughter was diagnosed with MS Nov. 2008 & 11 months earlier my husband's niece was. They are not blood related just the Northwest got them and gave us a big whoopin!  All is good-everyone stable.  If anyone has info on MS please share.  We did the walk this year and plan to so so every year.  Thanks!

Cary - I responded to the birthday party poll and I would be willing to help...if I'm here.  I think it should be in Albany (might be an unpopular idea) because this is where most people would likely come.  There are a couple of upscale (if that's what you want) locations that would work.  I'm all for supporting local small business!!!

The other thing is...the West Albany High School website has a link to reunion information, etc.  If this website is costing you money to keep open, then we should maybe switch to the one that doesn't cost anything.  What do you think?

Miss talking to you...how's Axl?  LOL

Hi.  I had been planning to go to the reunion last summer but Mom went into a nursing home and I was needed here.  It was great looking at all the pictures.

My Husband and I are getting ready to sell our home and invest in a motor home and travel the U.S.  We plan on heading towards the Florida Keys and staying there for a while.  He's originally from Florida and  I can't wait to explore that part of the country.

It's wonderful reading about all of your stories.  Hopefully we can make it out for the 50 year birthday party!  My birthday is in July so that would be perfect.

Hi All! If there is enough interest, I intend to plan a "50th Birthday Celebration" in the summer of 2009 for those of us who have/will shortly reach the "BIG 50" milestone. I graduated South Albany H.S. in '77 - but thought that West Albany persons may also want to join in on the fun - since we're all the same age & many of us know/knew persons from West Albany. Please let me know what you think! Thanks much! Debbie (Rainsbury) Carmel dmcarmel@yahoo.com (925) 930-0243 Live in Alamo, California

Sorry I missed the reunion. I was planning on attending, but my wife Sherrie (Kaiser WA 78) had complications with surgery and was in the intensive care unit, so my place was with her. She is now back home recovering and doing great, starting to drive me crazy, so all is right with the world. The advantage of having a twin is that you get filled in along with a few great emails from friends and the great pictures on he web site. Look forward to seeing you all in five years. P.S. Mr. G – I am not deaf, just to many years walking around in inter-cities to pay any attention unless you are a maximum of two feet away from me. Email me and I will buy you lunch.

Hello All, It was wonderful seeing all of you who attended the reunion this past weekend. It was great becoming reacquainted with so may of you, as well as forging new friendships. I did not realize how much I missed Albany and all of you. Thank you all for showing up for each other. My love goes out to you all. To Dave M., thank you for your witness. I too could not get through this life without my Savior carrying me through it day by day. P.S. Is it me or is the school building 'bigger' than it used to be?

Many thanks to those that set up this web page and posted the pictures of the reunion.. It was nice to see all of you again.. Wow, we are all old!!! I would love to hear from any of you. After 30 years I may not remember who some of you are, but it will still be nice to talk to someone from WAHS. I might be living in Albany at the next reunion, maybe.. Take care, God Bless...

From the pictures that are posted, it looks like everyone had a great time. I wish I could have been there. It's too bad when work interferes with fun. It was great to hear from Mike Koos. I hope to see him, and hopefully some others too, when I'm up to visit my Dad in the next few months. Take care, Tim

Hi all! Guess I missed the reunion, Peggy Headricks (Wise) told me it was the 26th or something like that. I work out at National Frozen Foods, have been there since 1978 and in 18 months I can retire!!!!!!!!! Sounds cool, doesn't it! I probably won't really retire then but I think I will see about another job...31 years at one place is just too long. In the past couple of years, I feel like I'm having my own reunion because there are a few classmates who work where I work. First Matt Meier showed up, then Peggy Headricks came, then along comes Gary Leffler and anyone remember Vickie Bardin?, well she was here for a little bit and now this year Kent Borges showed up. Sorry I missed it. Had fun at the 20th one, sure this one was just as fun!

Thank you Craig for asking me on Thursday "Are you going to the Reunion tomorrow Dave". My response was "what year is it?" For those of you who may wonder I am sane and I don't drink, I guess I've been out of the loop and oblivious to my/our age. I'm writing this on Saturday and if you read this and haven't joined us yet PLEASE make a effort to join us tonight! To all I saw last night it was great to see and talk with everyone of you after so long. I hope to see more of you tonight. I'll write more later, for now, know that after 30 years I find my life has no value and no peace unless I live as I did and do now with Christ as my Lord and my God.

Has it really been 30 years? Wow! I graduated from Oregon State in 1981, married my college sweetheart (we celebrated 25 years of marriage in December) and moved to Wenatchee, WA where we lived for 9 years. The remainder of our time has been in The Dalles where Stan is the recreation manager of the Scenic Area. We have three daughters Elizabeth (almost 21 and starting nursing school this fall), Alison 18 and Audrey 9. I keep myself busy with three part-time jobs and homeschooling our kids. We as a family have enjoyed traveling, music and spending time together. Life has had it's ups and downs, but mostly ups. I am a 2 year cancer survivor so I view my health with much more appreciation. Wish I could make it this weekend, but had other plans. Have a great time everyone.

This qualifies as "better late than never...". I'm trying desperately to tie up loose ends before I leave. I'll get into Albany tonight, but know I'll miss seeing some of you. When I get back home to Denver, I'll try and touch base. I married Randy Johnson 02/82. We've been married ever since. We're happily easing into an empty next mode. We both work too many hours, and love to travel to unwind. We've been lucky enough to go on some great trips now that the kids are older. Emily reminds me weekly of her countdown to age 21, in October, and is enjoying life (too much) at CU in Boulder. She and I are going to Cabo in a coupe of weeks before she starts school again. Matt is a senior at Mullen high school here in Denver. The school is a sports power-house, so he's working hard to try and make the Varsity lacrosse team this year. He has no clue what he wants to do after high school. He and Randy are fishing with Dave Swisher and his son right now in Baja, so Randy won't join me at the reunion. See some of you soon! Thanks to all of you for this terrific site and all the work you've done.

Hello all, 30 years is a long time to recap in a few paragraphs. I will try to hit the high points. I kicked around Albany for a couple of years trying to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up. I got reacquainted with my future wife, Amy Owens, when she moved back to Albany. We were married in 1980. I went to school at LBCC and earned an AA in Computer Science and worked at Oregon Freeze Dry implementing manufacturing automation systems until 1988. In that period of time we had 2 children. Alex is now 23 and is in the Navy serving on the USS John C Stennis as a nuclear power plant operator. Emily is now 20 and still lives at home. She is currently between stints at school and is working at Starbucks. We moved to Portland and I worked at a variety of software development jobs. At the first job I had in Portland I was told there was another guy from Albany there. It turned out that that guy was Bill Davis, WA Bulldog class of ’77, it is indeed a small world. In 1996 we moved back to the Albany area. I now manage US Web development for Summit Information Systems in Corvallis and we live in Millersburg. Amy loves animals and we have way too many of them including 3 llamas. To balance out my work life I play bass and sing in a rock and blues band. We recently played at the American Cancer Society relay for life held at LBCC in June as well as a series of private parties this summer. It is nice reading through everyone’s stories. Neil

Reading thru all the messages the memories started coming back. Of course thirty years is far to long to recount much (unless you are Kim Chambers!) I work as an architect in Portland and also teach at the University of Oregon's Portland Architecture Program. After a logging 70,000 or so miles I am now running less and racing my bike more. My crazy life has not included kids (yet) but plenty of other adventures around the world. I look forward to seeing you all at the reunion. My cell number is 971.570.8486.

Hi Everyone, I'm quite disappointed that I won't be able to join you for the festivities next weekend. I would be there if I could. When you stop by Gregg's spot at the school library say a prayer for me. I reconnected with him a couple years prior to his death and enjoyed so much picking up where we left off...(albeit it by telephone.) I have four children, two boys, two girls. Unfortunately my eldest child's father died and the second one was/is a lout so I am doing the solo parenting adventure. The children range in age from 25 - 9 years of age. I wanted to make sure I got in at least thirty five years of uninterrupted parenting before this experiment draws to a close. :) I work for the state where I can be found assisting the good and the not so good people of Oregon. I have really enjoyed reading your writings on this page. It brought back so many memories....so many things. Anyway, please email me if you feel so inclined. I would be so pleased. Blessings to you all and have a fabulous time. Carole

Dear friends and classmates, 30 years..... I can divide the years pretty evenly, four in Portland, four in Boston and 22 in northern Indiana. I currently work as a Medical Technologist at Goshen Hospital which is literally across the street from Goshen College where my 21 year old son, Andrew is a senior. Our other son Jonathan is 16 and begins school on August 13, hence I won't be at the reunion. At least once a year I do come to Oregon to visit with my parents and I rarely look up old friends, something I know I should. Have a great reunion.

Hi all! I am actually a South Albany H.S. Grad (Class of '77) and am wondering if anyone knows the whereabouts of Matthew Hart (a previous boyfriend who had the same date of birth as me). I live in Northern California & am happily married with 10 year old boy/girl twins, but always wondered what happened to him. If anyone has an email address, address or phone number (or knows the City, State or Country he lives in), I'd like to see what he's been up to. Have fun at your reunion! I won't be able to make our 30th (same weekend as yours) due to work committments, etc.

Live in Tigard and my kids are growing up! Pretty soon I will be an empty nester. My daughter, Jordan is 19 and a sophomore at University of Oregon and loving the college life. Ryan is 17 and a senior at Southridge High School. I am currently working on my Graduate Degree in Education and probably will graduate the same time my daughter does from UofO. It's a challenge working full time and going to school. Haven't been running or playing tennis since my knee surgery. I tore my ACL and meniscus so I am mostly walking, however I did take up golf. My goal this year is to walk in the Portland to Coast relay in August and walk the Portland Marathon. That's about it for now looking forward to the reunion.

Dear Friends and Classmates of Gregg Nicholson, The Class of 1977-- We were asked by Julie (Brudvig) Meier today to add our personal thoughts about Scott's brother, Gregg. It has been three years since Gregg left us, and we know he would have made every effort to be up in Albany for the reunion weekend. Since your last reunion, Gregg enjoyed traveling and working in the Bay Area. His love of the arts, which began in high school, continued to be a passion of his throughout his life. On your first night together, please raise your glasses high and offer a toast up to him. In honor of Gregg and his love of reading, our family has set up "The Gregg Nicholson Book Fund" at WAHS's library. While you are touring the school, go into the library and see the section set aside to honor him. Our family donates funds to purchase new books annually in his name. Mr. Dan Lawson, school librarian, has been instrumental in helping us create this ongoing memorial to Gregg. Our family is also planning to donate to West's annual spring musical to honor his participation in many of WAHS's theatre productions. Thank you all for continuing to remember "Uncle Gregg" as we all do.

I can't resist our little 30 year stroll down memory lane. Its too much fun to see what old friends have done with thier lives so far. Well.... I'm still stuck in North Albany. Actually I am very happy here having spent my life as a farmer raising mint, grass seed and row crops on our family farm until 2005 when I realized I could make more money with a whole lot less stress by leasing our place to a large corporate farm and working for them as a vineyard manager. Who would have thought 30 years ago that our Willamette Valley would raise some of the finest Pinot Noir in the world. I manage 260 acres of vines for Olsen Family Vineyards near Monmouth and we are rapidly expanding acreage with our winery going in for the 2008 crush. It has made farming fun for me again. Our label is being released this August (Veridian) and we are doing some promotional projects that is at the same time as the reunion so I may not make it. I too like many of you married a rebel in 1985 and we have three kids and 6 1/2 grandchildren. For hobbies I am a guitar junkie and have played on a few worship teams in Albany since I found the Lord in 1980. Currently Lori and I attend Calvary Chapel Corvallis and love it there. I hope you all have a great reunion and an awesome next 30 years.

Recently it dawned on me that we graduated 30 years ago. I've enjoyed reading about everyone's life journeys. I’ve been very blessed in my life. After graduating from WAHS, I attended OCE for two years then moved to Southern California in 1979. I met my wife Cheri in January 1980 and we got married in Kailua Hawaii in June 1983. We recently celebrated our 24th anniversary in Maui. We have two sons, Daniel - 19 who is attending our local community college, and Jason - 14 who will be starting high school this fall. I started a consulting business in 1983 which I sold in September 1989. After selling the business we moved to Oregon but, being born and raised in sunny Southern California, Cheri just couldn't adjust to the weather. We moved to Rancho Cucamonga CA in December 1989 and have lived here ever since. From 1989 until 2002 I worked for a homebuilder in Upland CA in various capacities, somehow surviving the real estate crash of the 90's. In 2002, I joined John Laing Homes and was recently promoted to Division President of their Inland Division in Corona CA. Our main hobbies include boating and wakeboarding at Lake Mojave near Las Vegas in the summer, and riding ATV's in the Glamis & Dumont Sand Dunes in the winter. We also enjoy cruising around on the jeep trails of our local mountains and deserts in our 1974 Toyota Land Cruiser. I visit my Dad in Crabtree once or twice a year. I usually stop by Courtesy Corner to see if Taylor Smith is around, although I haven't seen him for a few years. Unfortunately, I have another commitment on the weekend of the reunion and will not be able to attend. Keep the stories coming and best of luck to all of you.

I feel that I have sufficiently procrastinated writing this to be slightly reminiscent of one of Monson's Humanities term papers. As I write this, I am curled up on a comfortable lawn chair on a sunny afternoon listening to nothing but the birds chirping, wind moving through the trees and the occasional thump of the dog’s tail against the deck. With this visual, one might sigh with a sense of serenity, or cringe in repulsion at the sedate, static monotony of the scene. For me, it’s just life on the farm. But to start from the beginning:

(Kim Dugan continue.....) After high school I went into radiology, went to work at North Lincoln Hospital and rented a cabin on Devil’s Lake. As for the Oregon Coast—great place to visit, but I wouldn’t want to live there. About that time on a particularly fruitful camping trip, I met and started dating the guy I would eventually marry, Rod Chambers. Years later, I realized that he was the same guy that Lisa Taucher and Shirley Scharn met at Death Valley during a high school spring break, and they came home talking about how cute he was! As things started getting serious with this guy, there was one major consideration—he was a dang farmer. Quite a foreign concept for a girl who grew up on Calapooia St. next to Henderson Park. So here we are 25 years, 3 kids and one slightly goofy black lab later. We’re in the home stretch with our child rearing as our son will start his senior year at Washington State, middle daughter her sophomore year at OSU (Pac-10 rivals in the house) and youngest daughter will be a senior at WAHS. It has been fun living in the outskirts of Albany and running into old classmates at sporting events at the high school or most often the aisles of Costco, my biggest social outlet. With our son running track for WSU and both daughters playing club volleyball, we continue to rack up frequent flyer miles heading all over the northwest to watch them. I had surgery last year to remove the bleacher from my buns. Heck of a situation.

(Kim Dugan continue.....) I’ve worked in radiology at a large clinic in Salem for 25 years now, and if anyone is in the market, I give a mean barium enema. When life gets too hectic, we have a great cabin on Odell Lake. Nothing better than a peaceful sunny day trolling around the lake with a good book mid-summer, or a moonlit campfire in 2 feet of snow mid-winter. Definitely loosens the knots in the shoulders—but that might be the wine. So as for being the proverbial farmwife and living in the boonies after a quarter of a century, I wholeheartedly give it two thumbs up. Life is full and good. Just don’t ask me the difference between a roller harrow, cultivator or disc!

Hello all my old classmates. Thankyou Julie for this website. I've enjoyed looking at it. Honestly I am too embarrased to attend the reunion:however,Iwould love to see you all again. I did get a BS degree in Social Sciences with a minor in English. Most of my studies were in prison. I finished two terms at Western Oregon State. Tried out for the Basketball team at age 32. Didn't make the cut. I've done a lot of cooking as a trade. about 15 years. I even went to Las Vegas for two years and cooked at two Carrows restraunts on the Vegas Strip. Yes that was wild times. I am actually quite sober these days if you can believe that. Now I work for a wood coatings manufacturing company. It's a great job. I was married for about 5 years and we had an abortion. I married a very young girl. I wa 35 and she was 23. I play electric guitar, listen to music, and kick it with family and a few friends here in Salem. Anyway I just wanted to say hello to all of you. I hope you're all doing well and wish you all many great years to come. If anyone wishes to contact me my phone is 503 588-3808 PEACE OUT!!!!!!!

OK Rhonda Montoya this is for you! Where has the time gone? It just goes faster and faster! I have continued to live in Albany since 1977 where all of my family resides. I have one son “Justin” he will be a Junior at West Albany this year. As far as work goes I continued at the same job for 15 years until a year ago May and decided to make a change in my life. November 2006 I started working as a substitute for the Greater Albany School District working mostly at the Elementary schools in Special Education – best change I could have made in my life, I love my job and hope to get a full time position with GAPS this year. In the summer when school is out I have continued to stay busy working on my brother’s farm selling raspberries at the markets and occasionally working on the big machinery!! When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my son and my family, traveling, working in my yard and spending time with friends. I may not make it to the reunion, but I wish you all well!! Hello everyone! This will be a great event and I am looking forward to it. I live in Seattle with my wife and three kids and am Managing Director for Travelers Insurance. We have a busy, happy life and many great friends and family. The journey here has been fun and rewarding and I feel very fortunate. Things are going well and I look forward to seeing so many of the old friends that I've lost touch with but remember so well from those years ago.

Actually I CAN believe it has been thrity years…. as the time at West often seems like several lifetimes ago!! After graduating from OSU… headed to the San Francisco bay area and spent twenty years deep in the heart of the corporate jungle. It was a good ride so to speak… and then realized I needed to reclaim my soul… so decided to follow my passion of travel and get out there to experience the world first hand… sooooo in 2002 put all my “stuff” in storage… and have been living the life of a modern nomad ever since! From trekking in the Himalaya, ashram living in India, camel riding in the outback of Mongolia, to living in Italy, I have explored about 35 countries and have loved mingling with diverse populations while roaming this planet. This summer I am teaching yoga and managing an adventure lodge in remote Alaska, and in the fall looking forward to leading around the world trips for National Geographic… a place far away from the corporate world! Looking forward to catching up with everybody and a GREAT reunion.

Hi Everyone! Here's my 30 yr. lowdown: I graduated with a BA in Music at OSU in 1984; married Brian Vaughan from Portland in 1990 in Rarotonga, Cook Islands; We've done some travelling to Europe, Hawaii, & Mexico. We started our family later because we weren't going to have any kids (ha ha)- 2 cuties, Hannah 9 yr & Connor almost 6yr, which we've taken to DisneyLand a couple of times; Besides theme parks, I also enjoy water parks, gardening, camping, hikes, reading scary novels, sudoku, crosswords, Pina Coladas, getting caught in the rain (not really-I just got carried away with that stupid song stuck in my head); I actually prefer a good IPA or Cabernet; I've been in the real estate industry in several different capacities over the years including escrow secretary, loan assisitant and commercial loan processor. My hubby has been in the computer industry for many years. He went back to school to finish his 4 yr. degree, and after 9 long, long years finally received his BS in Computer Science. I'm very proud of him! I look forward to seeing all of you again and anticipate hearing some interesting life stories! Happy Trails!

Greetings to our Class of ’77. (I have been procrastinating in submitting this for soooo long because each time I have tried to write it, I come off sounding like a total dork. But Sue Holman keeps writing me threatening emails and when she said she would call my mother, I thought I just better suck it up and sound like the dork that I am.) In a snapshot: Professionally, I am a registered nurse after having graduated from LBCC and OHSU. I have held many positions within nursing over the years, including being an operating room nurse, infection control nurse, quality and risk manager, director of surgical services, and now, I am the risk manager for St. Charles Medical Center in Bend. I truly love what I do! In addition to my day job, I am pursuing an MBA degree and hope to finish it before I am 85.

My two kids are grown and married. Both are WAHS graduates, terrific people and ones who I am proud to claim… daughter Kelley (28) is married, lives in Seattle and is expecting my first granddaughter in November 2007. Kelley is completing a business degree at UW and still travels all over the world. Son Bobby (25) is married, lives in Beaverton and is working as a project engineer for a construction firm in Portland. Bobby has given me my first grandson, Carter (16 months). I have decided that the best part of children is that they produce grandchildren! I LOVE being a grandma and am hoping for many more. I am very lucky to have found a great guy… Mike McCord. He is close to perfect (except that he is an Oregon Duck, while I am an OSU fan, and he is a lawyer… enough said). We have been together for five years and he is the reason I moved to Bend. We have been remodeling our home… yes, lots of fun (NOT)… you should all try it!

In our free time, we take advantage of all that central Oregon has to offer. Winters you can find us snowboarding down Mt. Bachelor (I took this up at age 43 and I am finally faster than the 4 year olds!). Throughout the rest of the year we love to hike, bike, whitewater raft, swim, water ski and wakeboard (yup… I catch “air” when I cross the wakes… all 2 inches of it!). My all-time favorite water adventure is to scuba dive and we have been to several tropical locales for some awesome diving. However, we are also fans of just being tourists, so now we are scouting where to take our next vacation and are considering Costa Rica and Australia. Perhaps my greatest challenge within the past 30 years was being diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer nearly three years ago. Three surgeries, chemo, and radiation therapy have given me a greater appreciation for my health. While I am beating the odds for being alive, I no longer take things for granted. I learned that when you lose your hair, you can’t lose your sense of humor! Mike has been my strongest supporter, never leaving my side… and my family and friends have been incredible. I truly am the luckiest gal in the world. The past 30 years have been a journey… one that I am lucky to have been on. I am now at a place that is awesome and one that I would not change for anything. I look forward to seeing all of you in Albany! Go Bulldogs

Since graduating from WAHS, I attended both OCE and OSU. After running short on funds, I started working. With no promising opportunities in Albany, I moved to Portland in 1982 and started working in SW Portland. I got married in 1985 to a wonderful guy in a combination Asian / American ceremony, then started working with the Oregon State Police (for the second time in 10 years, only this time it was behind a desk, not patrolling). We moved to SE Portland and I took a break to spend some time with my children, who were just entering school, and wound up running my own childcare center for the next couple years. After that I became a Legal Secretary, then on to the non-profit world with Volunteers of America. I have two beautiful kids, Katrina (20 this month) and Nick (18 in September). Katrina just finished her sophomore year at OSU in the medical / science fields, she is a founding member of a new sorority for “Women in Science”, plays volleyball and the tenor & baritone sax's with the OSU Marching Band. Oh yeah, and she’s tall (5’8”)! Nick just finished up his junior year at Reynolds High School, excelling in music. He plays trumpet in jazz and classical bands, and also for the school’s orchestra and marching band. He recently won 1st place in both league and district solo competitions. My husband works in retail management and I am happily employed at a local Catholic Church running the office and all the other wonderful things that can come up in a parish. The people are great and I’m very happy to work where I can see and feel the end result of my efforts. In our off time, we continue to enjoy road trips across the US, up to Canada, and overseas to several Asian countries (so far). Looking forward to more overseas travel when we have the time. Hope everyone is well and enjoying life – Happy 30th!

A lot of hard work and happiness over the last 30 years! I graduated from Oregon State in 1982. Went to work in Portland for Fred Meyer, now Kroger, in 1984 and am now an Accounting Director. Have been married to my wonderful husband, Chris, for 22 years. We live in Clackamas. I almost lost Chris 11 years ago to a heart problem. Thank heavens for modern medicine, not to mention a great insurance policy! He received a heart transplant in 1996 and is doing fantastic! We had a lot of fun and fulfilling years raising our two wonderful kids! They both played basketball and soccer and we were always busy going to their games and activities. Kyle, 20 and Kate, 19, are now at Oregon State. Life came full circle for me when I dropped Kate off at her dorm last fall. Now that we’re empty nesters, Chris and I are adjusting quite well! We love to hang out together, travel and are contemplating making a move out of state. We’re not ready to settle down yet. We keep in close touch with our kids by cell phone and e-mail. How did we get along without those things 30 years ago? Not sure if I’ll make the reunion, but I wish everyone the best! It’s been great reading your guest book entries!

Hello Bulldogs!! Wow!....30 years!..Time sure does fly... Well, I guess I can give a, "Reader's Digest" version of my life over the past 30 years... In 1979, I said good -bye to Albany and moved to the state of Utah. While in Utah, I worked for the Westinghouse company and also as a volunteer fireman and also got married. After a few years with Westinghouse, I decided to go back to shcool.. I graduated from, Weber State University, with degrees in history and sociology. Following school, I started working for the state of Utah, with the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. After 16 years of marriage and 3 kids, my wife and I divorced..A few years later, I met a wonderful woman in a Christian chat room..We were married, on a beach in Florida. We now live in Tampa Florida, where my wife is a teacher and I am a, stay at home dad, a freelance writer ( I'm a published writer)and a web page creator. My wife and I are licensed foster parents and we have two foster kids in our home at the moment. Two of our kids are special needs, which often makes life crazy. But, I enjoy it. It's not likely that I will be able to attend the 30th reunion of the class of 1977, but, I'd like to extend warm greetings to all the members of the class of 1977, as well as my friends.. God Bless.. Please visit my web page. www.lighthouselearningstation.com

Back in 1977 I could not have even imagined going to my 30 year reunion! But here we are..... all older..... yikes! OK the last 30 years....I attended college in Portland and LBCC right after graduating from WAHS.. I have been married to Steve Dickman (class of 1974) for 26 years now. We had a BIG "hello" in 1998 when Steve and I were blessed with Kacey after 18 years of marriage. She is now 9 years old. (In fact, I was pregnant with her at our 20th year reunion and did not know it!) Kacey is our pride and joy and keeps us 'young"! We have lived in BEAUTIFUL Bend for the last 14 years and are in the process of moving to Stayon this summer. (going back to the rain! ugh) I will miss my friends and life over here, yet we are embracing the new change. I own 2 businesses (I know... I am crazy) Bookkeeping Services and Interior decorating and organizing. I love both of my jobs! They keep me BUSY! I am looking forward to seeing eveyone again.

Reading everyones signing, I think wow, how much we can do and have done in 30 years. I'm not settled down like most everyone here. I've done everything I've wanted to though.. From scuba diving all over to living in Japan for years, to bodybuilding (yes competing) getting a nutrition degree, and even wrote a book that was on the market.. I have one daughter, a dog, a few horses, 2 guinea pigs, I own an equine business that keeps me busy and stressless free..lol not to mention working on becoming a sheriff deputy... Everyone thought I was a little weird and goofy in school, Look at me now!!!! I'm still the same.. LOL See ya at the ReUnion..

Hard to believe 30 years have come and gone since we graduated. But what is more scary is that we are all pushing 50! At least I got good genetics from my family and don't look that old. I have two daughters, one 22 and the other 19, who I am proud of and a wonderful 2 1/2 year old granddaughter who I love to spoil. My oldest graduated from West also. With my mom being the first class to graduate from the West Albany building that now makes 3 generations in my family that has graduated from those great halls. I have been married twice and the first time was for twenty years. They say the third times the charm. Guess time will tell. I farmed for 13 years after graduation and then went into maintenance in mills. I am a state licensed electrician and also can work as a millwright. I currently work as an electrician in a sawmill in Mollola. My job entails everything from changing electric motors to computer programing that runs the mills equipment. It is very challenging at times but I really enjoy my work. When I am not working I enjoy golfing, flyfishing, traveling, and shooting pool. I play on a league team for pool out of Salem currently. I live in Woodburn but go to Albany still once a week to see my family. They are all there except my sister Kellie who moved to Vegas. Love to go visit her there. Looking forward to seeing you all again.

Thirty years? Damn we ARE old. Live in Albany with my beautiful wife Julie ( I went and married me a Rebel ) of nearly 26 years and our two sons Scott 23, who is studying to be a Pastor and Joey 20, is going to college to be an engineer. Both graduated DAWGS. We are very proud of both of them. We do a lot of camping in our spare time. We hook up the 5er and go all over our great state. Our other favorite pass-time is watching NASCAR. We hope to go to Daytona and Vegas next year. After graduating I left fair Albany to work at a steel fabricating mill in Seattle for about a year. Training to be a lead man in the in the prep-bay at the plant when I was laid off. Seems they decided to build nuke plants instead of ships then of course along came 3-mile island and they went belly up. Came back in 79 and went to work for Pacific Power where I have been ever since. I am a Logistics General Foreman, running the Albany Hub distributing materials from here to and from Medford, Grants Pass, Yreka, Yakima, Bend, Walla Walla, Warrenton, Portland, Hood River, Lincoln City and K-Falls. We also ship materials to Utah and Wyoming. Being directly responsible for Albany, Lincoln City, Warrenton, Cottage Grove, Portland and Hood River’s nearly $7 million in inventory keeps me and my crew on our toes ( this from a “D” math student ) Had an “event” in my life earlier this January that has given me a different out look and appreciation of life. Thanks to my Julie I am still here to send this to you all. Hope to see you this summer.............mark......

What I wanted to say was that I have had 6 or 7 wives (can’t remember anymore); I have 5 children by 5 different women (not all of them my wives) and I am hoping to get early release by the end of July so I can make the reunion – but my wife wouldn’t let me. I graduated from OSU in 1982 with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Economics. I married Sherrie Kaiser (WA 1978) in 1982 and we celebrate 25 years of marital bliss this summer and 30 years since we started dating. We have lived outside of Oregon City on some acreage since 1989. We have four daughters Callan (19), Mallory (16), Lindsay (14) and Jaime (12) – I got on estrogen 5 years ago and it has really helped my mood swings. I have been doing consulting work for the last 25 years; which this last year has required me to be on an airplane 3 plus times a month. We sold the company I was an owner of 2 plus years ago and am now just working for the man – went from 85 employees to 6,000. My contact expires the end of August and I really haven’t decided what I will do. Between work, kids and a house, I don’t have time for much else. Looking forward to our 30-year reunion.

ok Julie this is for you! This August will be my and Bernie's 15th wedding anniversary. October will mark 20 yrs. together. We have 3 daughters between us. Alaina, is almost done with her chem degree at OSU, which both Bernie & I graduated from. Katie, the middle one, who has given us a cute but full of energy grandson, Justin, works in Salem with Blue Cross. Alix, our youngest is a massage therapist here in Albany. They have all remained within 30 minutes of us, and with cell phones track us down more than we did them. I talk to Debra Hubbard, Shari Miner and Sherri Robertson on a fairly regular basis. I run into Julie Meier in Albany and it seems comical each time. It seems there is often an injury or surgery for the 2 of us, not normal ones mind you, we've opted for the unusual. Love to travel, Hawaii being my tops so far. I enjoy Germany and plan to go this August. Ok, that about sums it up. Look forward to the reunion.

Hi, I can't believe it has been 30 years until my youngest brings her friends home (she is graduating this year) and I see how young they look! I have two girls, one in college now and the other starting next year. I've been married to my college sweet heart (Cindi) for the last 24 years, we are currently living in Hillsboro. I've worked in high tech since leaving college. My last company was bought by IBM in 1999 and I've spent the last 7 years leaning to navigate my way around big blue. I manage IBM's US Linux and VMware support teams.

Twenty nine of the 30 years I have worked for Hewlett-Packard in Corvallis. I started as a custodian and then built integrated circuits, now I am a technician in R&D supporting the reliability engineers. I have been able to travel to New York, Boston, and San Diego on business trips. It has been a very good job. I have been married for 27 years to Stephen. I have two grown daughters, Kathryn, 23, who has a 2yr. old son and Rosemary, 21, is married and living in Spokane, WA. Like most families we have had our ups and downs but mostly we have had good times. Few have taken family vacations to Mesa Verde CO., Redwoods CA, Mt. Saint Helens WA, and Vancouver B.C to name a few. I have seen some of my classmates over the years periodically. Some have had children who went to school with my daughters and gone to the same events. Some I have worked with and some I have kept in touch over the years. There are some I would like to see that I have lost contact. Hope to see you at the reunion.

Has it really been 30 years? We've all done so much since walking the "West" halls together. When I left, I went to OCE for just a year and then finished at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, CA. After five years, a husband and baby, started on the way back north to Susanville, CA and then to our present location in Sparks, NV. I had two more girls here and have worked for The Home Depot, Starbucks and now I'm helping a friend run a fitness studio. This last January Kirk and I went to Egypt. What a great trip! He retired from the FAA two weeks ago. He was an air traffic controller. Now we're doing home improvement projects and gardening...Live is good!

Alexandria is 12, and Megan 8. They keep us busy, but Angie confesses that she really has three kids! I have been working as a sales rep in the pharmaceutical industry with the same company for the past 23 years. I was officially called one of the "old guys" the other day! Kinda liked it. The hair is gone, the tummy a little bigger and life is great! I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone this summer, make it if you can!!!

It’s good to hear that everyone is doing so well. I currently live in Salem and have been here since 1994. I work for the Oregon State Police as a manager in the Patrol Services Division at General Headquarters, where I mainly work with budget and legislative issues and supervise non-sworn patrol staff. I will celebrate 15 years with the department this November. Prior to that, I lived in Dallas Texas for a year, moved back to Medford Oregon and worked as a police and fire dispatcher with the Medford Police Department, met my husband and moved to Bellevue, Washington, where our two children were born, and then moved back to Medford to work for the Oregon State Police as a police dispatcher before transferring to Salem to my current position. My daughter, Jessica, is 18-years-old and is a senior at Sprague High School and will be attending the University of Portland in the fall. Jessica is a dancer with a performing company in Portland and trains 20 hours a week (yes, she drives to Portland 5 nights a week) and takes classes in tap, ballet, jazz, and hip hop. My son, Steven, is 16-years-old and is a sophomore at Sprague High School. Steven is a sport’s fanatic and especially loves playing football, but also does track, wrestling and snowboards. I had the pleasure of watching him play football at West Albany Stadium (West Albany vs. Sprague) fall of 2005 and particularly enjoyed it for the fact that I hadn’t been back to West’s stadium since the night we graduated. We have a home in South Salem, spend a lot of time involved in sporting and dance events, and also enjoy camping, traveling, and other outdoor activities, along with working on our home. Life has been very good and I’m really happy to hear that all of you have enjoyed the same.

Greetings to all from so long ago! Bill and I have been married for 28 years in August and have lived back in Albany since 1985. We have three sons and are only a couple years from our own empty nest again! Now that is weird! Our sons Ben, Andrew, and Adam fill our lives to the brim and we love them so! What do I do? I am a homemaker, and so by choice. Bill works out-of-state currently and thus I keep all things coordinated. We attend South Albany Community Church and can say we are NOT grandparents yet! No one is even talking that dreaded word...kids! We will love it when it's time though and are really, really hoping for at least one grand-daughter! Though I am not in touch with anyone from the old school days, I do see many of you, who are still local, around town. My kids love hearing the stories I tell them about you and my friends are sure I know everyone in town! Our life is simple, rich in love, and we are blessed! I pray that for you and many more years!

Wow, 30 years…pretty hard to believe! I was thinking that a reunion was on the horizon, and with a little snooping on the internet, I found this site. It’s pretty hard to sum up 30 years of ones life in a single paragraph, but I’ll do my best. After graduation I attended LBCC and married my high school sweetheart Bob Headrick, class of 75. Soon after, we moved to Portland where I graduated from a trade school travel program. My Marriage to Bob did not last, but I am happy to say that our friendship remains strong to this day. In 1984, I remarried and moved to Seattle. My husband and I have two amazing daughters; Caroline, 20, a sophomore at the University of Idaho, and Tara, 16, a junior in high school. I have been in the travel business for over 20 years, and I am now a Director for a Global Travel Management Company where I am responsible for Alaska, Washington, & Oregon. I love the Oregon part of my job because it brings me home to Portland pretty regularly. I love the travel part of my job because it has taken me all over the world. Best friends, well I’ve made a lot of friends since I left Albany, but my best friend is still the person I walked the halls of WAHS with, Judy Hashagen-Linares. All in all, life has been good me and I am looking forward to catching up with everyone in August. For more information, check me out on MySpace http://www.myspace.com/157883801 Cheers until August, Suzette

Hi classmates, boy how time flies! I have been married to Paul for 28 years, we have two children ages 24 and 21. The last 30 years I have managed a restaurant, raised my children and helped my husband on the farm, had my own childcare and then even worked at our one and only West Albany High as a childcare provider for the Teen Parent Program. The last 11 years I have worked for the Oregon Department of Corrections as an Office Specialist, currently working at Two Rivers Correctional Institution in Umatilla and living in Hermiston. Paul and I travel to Tennessee every year to watch some softball where our daughter is a junior this year and plays for Belmont University. Our son lives in Salem and loves to go hunting and golfing with his dad. My hobbies are quilting, scrapbooking and watching softball. Our life has been happy and I wish that for everyone of you. See you all in August!

Hello Everyone! I'm excited about a 30 year reunion! I moved from Albany in 1979 after I married an Air Force man. We lived in many places, my favorite being Germany. I wish I could go back. After 14 years of being married, he decided to give up the air force and start a new life...without being married. My 4 year old son & I moved back to Albany (where I had said I would never want to live again) in 1993. We've been here since. Todd (my son) is now going to graduate exactly 30 years to the date as I did from WAHS! He thinks that is pretty cool. I have not remarried, Am not seeing anyone either. Too busy just being mom and working full time for the same Dentist since 1993. I like my life just plain and simple. I'm looking forward to catching up in August!

Hello Everyone, How does one play 'catch up' in just one big paragraph? I guess we don't, really, but here goes: I am happily re-married for three years now. I have eight great kids, in whom I am well-pleased, ranging in ages from 24 years to 9 months; three girls and five boys. I am also enjoying being a grandpa. My grandson was born December 2005. They say that being a consultant is just someone who is unemployed, or between jobs. That being the case, I have been 'gainfully unemployed' for the past 13 years. I have been a CPA for over twenty three years and in investment banking for seven years now. I volunteer to teach business plan writing in Spanish to the growing Latino community throughout Utah. I missed our twentieth reunion and look forward to getting reaquainted this summer. Oops! That's three paragraphs.

Hi. After WAHS, I went to OCE for four terms majoring in music. After having too much fun in Monmouth, I decided to take a "short" break from college. Well. Eventually, I got a degree in Finance from PSU in 1999...only about 22 years after graduation day. I married Julie Farnell (class of '78) in 1980. We live in SE Portland. I have an awesome daughter, Caitlin, who is 11 years old, in 5th grade, and who is now 5' 8" - taller than her mom. (Where did that height come from?) Julie and I both work for the International Group of Wells Fargo Bank. I am a Product Manager for foreign currency related products provided in the branches. A lot of my work involves developing computer systems that make it easier for tellers to do foreign currency transactions. I have travelled to many parts of the U.S. for work. In my free time, I am currently training in a rare Indonesian martial art called Poekoelan Tjimindie Tulen. The style is a combination of Chinese kung fu, and Indonesian silat and it is based on animals (tiger, monkey, crane and snake). I am currently a blue sash, which is about half way to black belt. My daughter also trains in the same school. I am still musical, and I also play loud electric guitar and sing in my own rock band (currently known as "Taunt The Dog"), writing and recording songs mostly for my own pleasure. In between there is the occasional skiing, or pleasure trip to somewhere fun. It is a full a beautiful life. Love you all. Brent.

Wow ... 30 years already! Sure doesn't seem like that long ago. I'm really looking forward to reconnecting with my WAHS classmates after all these years. So ... what have I been doing for the past 30 years? I went on to OSU and graduated in 1982 (the "5-year plan") with a BS in Chemical Engineering. I married Karen Derhalli (Lake Oswego HS / OSU) that same year and we're now looking forward to our 25th anniversary this Summer. Work / graduate school related moves have taken us a number places: California, Tennessee, Texas, England, and Washington. We've settled in Vancouver and I've been commuting to Hillsboro (Intel) for the past 14 years. We have 3 kids: LeighAnn (20) is a junior at Western Washington University in Bellingham; Andrew (17) is a senior at Prairie High School and will be attending University of Idaho in the Fall; Eric (14) is a freshman at Skyview High School. Karen works part-time at a local garden center in Vancouver. Thanks Cary for getting this going and do let me know how I can help!

Hey everybody! Hope all of you will tell your old classmates that you keep in touch with about the web page and the date of the reunion. Cary has really gotten the ball rollin.....Thanks Cary! The mighty webmaster and the one who called one day and said "So.......when and where???? Let's get this thing MOVIN!" Let's see...what have I been doing. You guessed it. I am running good old Pop's Branding Iron. I was only going to stay a year after I graduated from the great University of Oregon, and that was over 25 years ago. My sister and I have taken over, and my mom still helps...we have updated and we are busier now more than ever (a little plug for Pop's)..so when you are here for our 30th be sure to come on in. Gregg and I have been married for over 25 years (I really lucked out....the greatest guy on the planet) and the coolest thing is that I get to see our old principal all the time! Tom is over 80 now but looks 60...no kidding. He can't wait to see everyone. We have one son, Mark, who is at OSU and an athlete like his dad and Uncle Jimmy. We live right by West Albany High School..so I haven't gone far. Life is really great and can't wait to see everyone. So sign the guest book and let us know if you are going to make it. See ya soon! Sue

Hi everyone! I'm still in Albany. Wasn't planning on being involved in organizing a 30th reunion, but here I am thanks to Cary who got me excited about it. He has put a great web site together!!! I don't have any great stories about my life, other than I have two great kids...Tony (21) a junior at OSU, and Carrianne (16) a junior at West Albany. I've worked for Weyerhaeuser for the past 15 years. It's a comfortable job and has allowed me a flexible schedule so that I can be an active parent in the activities of my kids which has been very important to me. Their father, Perry, and I are still together. In the last six years or so I've gone on some really neat trips. I love the challenge of traveling in a foreign country and try not to stay in American type hotels/neighborhoods. I spend my evenings dreaming about trips I'd like to take, working on Sudoku puzzles, listening to music, or reading the lastest book from a book club I belong to. Pretty boring. Please submit to my email address no more than five pictures you have from high school. I plan to put something together on a CD for everyone to have.

30 years? it feels more like 30 months! I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do when I grow up... yikes! After college I moved off to Southern California where I've now remained for 25 years. I went to work for a software Company where I worked as an Industrial Engineer for about 12 years. The secret I kept was my passion for race cars and the business I had on the side. In 1994 I finally quit my day job and went full time on what was my side business. Now my life is pretty much doing everything from designing and building parts for race cars, race car instructor, test driving for manufactures, precision driving for TV commercials, still doing some racing myself and chief engineer for race a team. I've recently joined in a partnership with a steel company so, we'll see where that goes. I've been lucky to do a lot of traveling and love it. I would love to be able to just travel for the next few years but, seems there's always too much going on. Never married or had children which has been ok with me, however, I just got time to look in the mirror the other day ... starting to think that part of my life will never happen now but, who knows. Looking forward to seeing all of you this summer and to hear what's been happening in your lives ... I think it's been quite journey for lots us.

Bulldogs rule! Didn't go too far away, just to Portland/Hillsboro area. Married for 23 years (plus 6 more years living in sin) to Rich (from Sweet Home). Three boys Matthew (20), Jakob (18), Lucas (16). Started working at Ryan Advertising right out of high school. Eventually bought the business with another WAHS alum and two others (in 1999). 9-11 killed us. Dissolved corporation in September 30, 2003, started TLC Marketing October 1, 2003. Work from home office. Awesome! Hobbies: Family, reading, gardening, watching any sports that my kids participate in, Harley rides (passenger only) and working for myself. I feel lucky to still be in touch with my best friend from high school, and my matron of honor, Kym. Would most like to see Mr. Wolfe and Mrs. Gallagher - what are they up to? Can't believe its been 30 years. We're not that old yet are we?
